Swaffham Ninja Karts: Garrod and Sampson families gun for East Anglian Championship glory

This weekend Swaffham Ninja Karts at Swaffham Raceway will see 59 drivers aged between six and ten years old racing for the East Anglian Championship.

Drivers will be coming from as far as Scotland where the title was won last year by HRP driver (number 84) Robbie Armit.

Could the title be taken back by their star driver 60 Bailey Millar who has won every championship he has taken part in this year – or can one of the local drivers take the silverware home?

Swaffham’s points leader 516 Calum Gould is up there with the top drivers, along with the Parfitt brothers, Toby and Josh.

Also top names in stock car racing are children of Lee Sampson and the Garrod family: 428 Hayden Sampson, 398 Aiden Garrod, 339 Jack Garrod Jnr and 9 Dominic Garrod. One of the girl drivers, 619 Millie Turnbull, hopes to do well in her last Ninja meeting before turning 11.

Start times: 5pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
