Adrian Flux Arena meeting fully-booked for weeks in exciting season opener

The 2019 National Banger season bursts into life at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena this Saturday night – two weeks after a successful start to the Stock Car season at the venue, writes Paul Butler.

Four formulas are in action in the shape of the 2L Bangers, 1500cc Bangers, Junior Bangers and 1300 Stock Cars.

Tomorrow’s meeting has been fully-booked for weeks as an exciting season is looked forward to at Lynn with drivers from all over desperate to be involved at meetings there.

Kieran Bowman will start the defence of his Entertainer League title which he beat over 500 other drivers to win.

It looks like Bowman will once again be putting in a massive commitment to the sport and he is booked in both of the National Banger classes and will be racing both the 1500cc and 2L Bangers which represents a huge commitment from himself and his race team on the night.

Swaffham’s Ashley Garrod also had a great season in the National Bangers last year and he is also looking at stealing the march by making a great start to 2019 as the superstar graded driver is also booked in for both classes of National Bangers.

Several local names are just doing the 1500cc Bangers including father and son duo Russell and Callum Gill, Shaun Clarke, Troy Cobett, Paul Lovick and Robert Betts.

Callum Gill has been flying high in the National Points in recent years and will be looking to make a good start to the season.

Team STB in the shape of Cobbett and Lovick have started making a name for themselves in recent years and will be looking to do that, whilst the established Predators will see Betts joining the aforementioned Bowman.

Dersingham’s Harry Cobb will be looking to build on his win in the formula last time he raced at Lynn in the Junior Bangers.

Meanwhile, Downham’s Eron Denney and Watlington’s Robbie Dillon will also be looking to impress – Dillon was voted the newcomer of the year in 2018 and he will be looking to build on the experience he got in the formula last year.
