King’s Lynn Stars have announced a change to their early-season schedule – with press and practice now set for Wednesday, March 29.
The Trucks ‘R’ Us Stars had been set to launch their SGP Premiership campaign with home and away fixtures against Coventry on April 5 and 7.
But the Bees’ sad withdrawal from the competition left the Stars with potentially an extended break prior to the Good Friday (April 14) home clash with Rye House, and they have therefore taken the decision to make a slightly later start to official business.
This means rather than staging a Challenge match, plans for which were in the pipeline, the Stars will go through their pre-season preparations at the Adrian Flux Arena on March 29 – which also ensures media activities are conducted prior to the SGB Premiership Pairs at Somerset two nights later.
The club stress that this change in no way affects the arrangements for Simon Lambert’s Testimonial meeting, which goes ahead as scheduled on Sunday, March 26 with a 2pm start.
They are also looking into possible arrangements for early April, and will update supporters as and when matters are finalised.
