Alistair Doig and Ian Kidman take category 4th spots

At the last of the six-event Ryston Cross Country series, Sarah Melton-Whitelam was 3rd F35 over the 6.5k distance in 34.18, Alistair Doig 4th M40 in 27.26 and Ian Kidman 4th M50 in 28.43.

At the same event the young Renegade Runners, nicknamed “The Rockets”, continued building for the future by taking on the older age groups when three of them were eligible for younger ones –basically they prefer the longer distance!

Young Rhys Howard still has three years in the under-9 age group so performed well to come 20th overall in the 800 metre race.

In the U11 age group over 2k, Lola Kidman was 10th and 4th girl in 9.01, Thomas Elsdon was 11th in 9.05 Henry Gosnell was 16th in 9.26 and Aidan Howard 22nd in 10.04.

This followed some fantastic performances at the Norfolk Schools Cross Country finals with Nathan Yeaman coming 4th, Lola Kidman 4th, Thomas Elsdon 5th, Aidan Howard 18th and Henry Gosnell 52nd in their respective races.
