King's Lynn Town confirm new dates for Altrincham and Chesterfield away games

New dates have been announced for King's Lynn Town's National League fixtures at Altrincham and Chesterfield.

The match at the J Davidson Stadium, which was postponed earlier this month because of a waterlogged pitch, is now due to take place on Tuesday, January 12, with a 7pm kickoff.

That is just three days after Lynn are due to return to competitive action against FC Halifax Town at The Walks, following an isolation period after a positive coronavirus test in the Lynn camp.

Meanwhile, Lynn will face the Spireites at the Technique Stadium on Tuesday, February 2, with kickoff again at 7pm.

That means that, from next weekend, the Linnets face a run of at least 10 games in just 32 days in both the league and FA Trophy.

Lynn's players are expected to return to training on Monday after completing a 10-day isolation period after a staff member was confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19 on Christmas Day.

The case forced the postponement of the Linnets' festive fixtures against Notts County.

Officials say they are not aware of any other positive tests or anyone else displaying symptoms of the virus.
