King's Lynn Town postpone Notts County clash after positive coronavirus test

King's Lynn Town's National League clash with Notts County at The Walks tomorrow has been postponed.

The decision follows a positive coronavirus test within the Linnets' camp, which means the return fixture at Meadow Lane next weekend is also off.

A statement posted on the Linnets' website this evening said: "The club can today confirm that a staff member of the football club has returned a positive COVID test.

"Following this news all staff and players have entered a 10 day isolation period meaning that both of our games with Notts County, on December 26th and January 2nd will have to be postponed.

"We wish the individual a speedy recovery.

"Anyone who has purchased a stream for Saturday’s game will be refunded in 10 working days."

The postponement means Lynn will now not play any festive fixtures, after the away game at Chesterfield on Monday was called off due to Covid issues within the Spireites' camp.

The Linnets' next scheduled fixture is at home to FC Halifax Town on January 9.
