Centre-back arrives at The Walks from Lowestoft Town
King's Lynn Town have completed the signing of defender Rory McAuley on a two-year deal.
The centre-back arrives at The Walks from Lowestoft Town where he made 81 appearances, scoring six goals.
McAuley, 28, is a tough defender who developed through the Cambridge United youth system before making more than 140 appearances for their first team.
Injury curtailed his time with the U's but he moved on to play a starring role for both Dartford and Chelmsford City in the National League.
McAuley signed for the Trawlerboys in the summer of 2016.
On his new addition, Linnets boss Simon Clark said: "Rory is a great leader and he will also bring experience to the team. He will be fantastic for Ryan (Fryatt) as will Lee Beevers.
"He has played at a higher level, is a great age and still remains hungry. He has the right DNA as a defender and hates conceding goals.
"We've got some great defenders at this football club who won't concede goals easily and who are willing to put their heads on the line."
Clark now has plenty of cover across all areas of the back line and will now focus his attentions on adding a couple of midfielders to his squad before the beginning of the season.
