King's Lynn Town sign Scotland youth international goalkeeper on season-long loan
King's Lynn Town have boosted their squad for the new National League season by signing Scottish Under-19 international goalkeeper Archie Mair from Norwich City.
The 19-year-old, who has won six caps for his country, joins on a season-long loan from the Carrow Road outfit.
Mair joined the Canaries from Aberdeen last summer and was part of their under-23 squad during the last campaign.
He was also a substitute for the Norwich first team when they faced Aston Villa last October.
Linnets' director of football Rob Back said this afternoon: “We are extremely pleased to be able to bring Archie to the Walks for the new season.
"He is an extremely talented young man and we are all looking forward to working with him on the training pitch and then in full action very soon.
"Norwich City hold Archie in a high regard so we are very grateful to Norwich City for allowing him to come to us for the new season.”
The Linnets have particularly thanked Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber and loans manager Neil Adams for their work on the deal.
The announcement comes just a few days after star striker Adam Marriott committed his future to Lynn.
