King's Lynn Town thanks fans for ticket refund donation offers

King's Lynn Town has tonight thanked supporters who have offered to forego refunds on tickets for their Boxing Day fixture with Notts County.

The match at The Walks will now take place behind closed doors after the Government announced earlier today that Norfolk will be moved into the toughest Tier Four of coronavirus restrictions.

The Linnets had been hoping to welcome up to 1,400 fans to the game under the previous Tier Two rules and sales were suspended following the announcement.

But, in a statement on its website this evening, the club said supporters would be automatically refunded within seven to 10 days unless they choose not to.

It added: "We’ve had offers from supporters to make their ticket a donation to the club, we are so thankful, and if you would like to do so, please contact the club to arrange this."

The club says streaming arrangements for matches will continue and season ticket holders are having their accounts reactivated so they can view the broadcasts.
