King’s Lynn handed home tie against Cheshunt in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup
King's Lynn Town have been handed a home draw in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
Adam Lakeland's side will host Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Cheshunt, who were 2-1 victors at Yarmouth Town on Saturday.
The tie will take place on Saturday, September 14.
Taylor Miles and an own goal saw the Ambers progress against their Norfolk hosts at the weekend in a game in which Taylor Curran was sent off for the visitors.
Lynn have been drawn at home 28 times in the competition compared to 11 away since reforming.
Cheshunt have recorded one win and two draws from their opening five league games this term.
Tomorrow night, Lynn travel to the Yorkshire coast when they visit seventh-placed Scarborough.
Former Linnets defender Alex Brown saw his 2023-24 season end prematurely following a knee ligament strain in training during March but he is fit again and has been ever-present this season for Scarborough so far this campaign.
Lynn's last away win against the Seadogs came almost 60 years ago - a record they will be looking to improve on when the two teams lock horns at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
