Peterborough United youngster joins National League King's Lynn Town on loan
National League King's Lynn Town have added to their midfield with a loan signing from League One Peterborough United.
The Linnets have brought in Kyle Barker who will remain at The Walks until January.
Barker, a 19-year-old defensive midfielder, has been with Posh since 2013 when he joined the academy.
Barker told the club's website: “Knowing some of the lads from Norwich City, it makes it easier and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead. I’m very happy to be here.”
In 2019 he signed his first professional contract at the Weston Homes Stadium outfit and since then has made appearances in the EFL Trophy against Arsenal Under-23s and Cambridge United.
The King's Lynn-born youngster also featured in Peterborough's FA Cup third-round defeat at Burnley in January and is regarded as a ball-playing midfielder.
He was loaned out for the remainder of the 19/20 season to Wrexham where he made one appearance before the season was halted due to coronavirus.
The teenager is another youngster involved in Posh's Under-23 side this season and was an unused substitute in Peterborough United's 4-2 victory over Fulham Under-21s in the English Football League Trophy on Tuesday night.
He is expected to be available for tomorrow's trip to Solihull Moors.
