King's Lynn Town march on in the FA Cup
FA Cup Second Qualifying Round replay
King's Lynn Town 2
Alfreton Town 1
Second-half goals from Adam Marriott and Nathan Fox saw King's Lynn Town come from behind to book a Third Qualifying Round tie at Leek Town on October 5.
The visitors took the lead through Shane Killock six minutes into the second period before Marriott's 12th goal of the season and a late effort from Fox sealed Lynn's passage into the next round.
Linnets boss Ian Culverhouse said: "I thought we were superb, the way we passed the ball, and that's what had been missing from our last few performances.
"We're a possession-based team and want players to handle the ball. We want to play from the back and through the thirds and we've got players in this squad who can do that.
"We responded really well after getting done at the far post. We got back on the front foot again and scored two really well-taken goals."
Alfreton took the lead six minutes into the second period after Joshua Clackstone's throw came back to the defender whose deep cross was met by the head of Killock and the ball trickled into the bottom corner at the far post.
Lynn equalised in the 57th minute following a rasping shot from Marriott, who reacted to a loose ball on the edge of the visitors penalty area.
The winning goal arrived with 13 minutes left on the clock.
It all stemmed from Marriott who, after ghosting into the box, back-heeled the ball to Fox, whose vicious shot bounced off the hands of Andrew to find the back of the net.
