Friends reunited as King's Lynn face old boys in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round

King's Lynn Town will have two emotional reunions in the space of a fortnight after this afternoon's FA Cup draw.

The Linnets will host Southern Central leaders Peterborough Sports in the Fourth Qualifying Round on Saturday, October 16, in a real potential banana skin of a tie.

And in an ironic twist of fate, the clash will see Lynn will come up against the other half of the big-man, small-man strikeforce that led them to the National League in Michael Gash.

Adam Marriott – the first half – is expected to feature for Barnet when they head to Lynn in a league fixture tomorrow night and Gash will now return to The Walks with Sports on Saturday week.

Also linking up against his former club will be defender Ryan Fryatt who signed for The Turbines from Kettering Town in the summer.

Managed by Jimmy Dean, Peterborough Sports have won eight of their opening nine games, scoring 25 goals and conceding just eight.

On Saturday, Gash had to be content with a place on the bench as The Turbines pulled off a 3-2 victory at AFC Dunstable.

The prize money can make a significant difference to non-League outfits and Fourth Round qualifying winners will pick up £9,375 while the losers will net £3,125.

Last season, the Linnets reached the Second Round Proper before crashing out 6-1 to League One giants Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
