King’s Lynn Town FC urge fans to 'embrace and enjoy' top-table position before Walks National League North clash with Gloucester City

King’s Lynn Town FC have urged supporters to “embrace and enjoy” the club’s lofty position ahead of Saturday’s Walks encounter with Gloucester City.

Town sit proudly at the top of the National League North table after ten games and currently enjoy a 100 per cent home record prior to the weekend.

King’s Lynn Town’s head of media Mark Hearle said: “The football that has been served up by the team to date on home soil has been nothing short of exceptional.

“Ian (boss Culverhouse), Paul Bastock (assistant) and the lads have put in a tremendous amount of hard work and are rightly reaping the rewards at present.

“We are now seeing that our supporters are really buying into the product we have on offer on a Saturday afternoon and I would urge them all to continue to enjoy and embrace every moment of it.

“The crowd levels to date have been fantastic and I have to thank them for turning out in their increased numbers – and long may that continue.

“Of course it’s very early days and nobody here is getting carried away with anything. The old football saying of ‘one game at a time’ springs to mind and with Ian at the helm there is no chance of anyone thinking beyond that.”

The Tigers have had a mixed start to the season, scoring and conceding goals in abundance. They have two away league wins under their belts at present including an eye catching 3-2 success at Kidderminster Harriers.

Town manager Ian Culverhouse will have to make do without centre back Rory McAuley, who begins a three-game suspension following his recent red card in the encounter with Alfreton Town.

Lynn Reserves take on their counterparts from Felixstowe Town in the Thurlow Nunn, Division One North over at Wisbech; whilst on Sunday Lynn Ladies begin their ERWFL campaign when they play Cambridge City Ladies at River Lane. The match has a 2pm kick-off.
