King's Lynn Town striker Michael Gash selects his best-ever playing XI
King’s Lynn Town striker Michael Gash needs little introduction when it comes to the football field.
The frontman has been a revelation since putting pen-to-paper for the Linnets in the summer of 2017.
Here, the Peterborough-based man selects his best XI of players he has played with.
Formation 4-4-2
Goalkeeper - Graham Stack: Played with Graham at Barnet as he was coming to the end of his career. His passion and desire for the game was incredible and made some great saves.
Right-back - Andrew Yiadom: So versatile and would bomb up-and-down all day long. His quality on the ball was terrific and has a great attitude too. Now with Reading in the Championship.
Left-back - Jamie Day: One of my best friends whose career was ended by a serious back injury. Played for both Posh and Crawley. Dangerous at set-pieces and possessed a great left foot.
Centre-back - Chey Dunkley: Now at Wigan. He was so strong, quick and great in the air at Kidderminster. Worked hard every day and always believed in his own ability.
Centre-back - Rory McAuley: The ultimate type of player you want in your team. Puts his head where it hurts and his body on the line. Not bad on the ball either.
Left midfield - Jay Lolley: Never looked back after scoring a hat-trick for Kidderminster in a pre-season friendly. So much natural ability and now with Nottingham Forest.
Right midfield - Michael Clunan: A top skipper and an even better lad. Prepared to help his team-mates at all costs. His quality on the ball and work rate is something I admire.
Central midfield - Ryan Jarvis: One of the best-ever players to wear the King’s Lynn shirt. So many incredible displays in the last couple of seasons. Able to dictate and control a game.
Central midfield - Rob Wolleaston: Probably the best player I’ve played with. So much quality and could do everything with a ball.
Striker - John Akinde: Top player and a real handful. Strong and quick and has just got better and better over the years. Has won promotion with both Barnet and Lincoln City.
Striker - Adam Marriott: The magic man. Literally capable of scoring from anywhere and the best finisher I’ve come across.
Substitutes
Alex Street: Would always have him in my squad. Fantastic character in the changing room and a great person off the pitch.
Frazer Blake-Tracy: So close to making my starting XI. What a player who has a great future in the game.
Josh Simpson: Box-to-box midfielder who could run all day.
Kyle Storer: Another top class captain. Willing to put his foot in and horrible to play against. A joker of the changing room.
Aaron McLean: Played with Aaron as he was coming to the end of his career. You could see in training just how good he was.
