King's Lynn Town surrendered a two-goal lead as they crashed out of the FA Cup at Scunthorpe United this afternoon.

First-half goals from Gold Omotayo and Ross Crane left Lynn on the cusp of something special going into the interval at the Attis Arena, before they were brought down to earth by four Iron goals in the second half.

Lynn took the lead after nine minutes when Bailey Clements laid the ball on a plate for Omotayo to head home the opener, before an excellent run and finish from Crane doubled Lynn's lead 17 minutes later.

Scunthorpe made three changes at the break and Lynn found themselves under heavy pressure for long periods of the second period.

The Iron reduced the arrears on the hour mark after Sellars-Fleming converted Joe Starbuck's long ball.

Callum Roberts hit the woodwork before Brandon Horton levelled matters 13 minutes from time.

Carlton Ubaezuonu put the Iron in front after 85 minutes before Roberts rubbed salt in Lynn's wounds by adding a fourth in stoppage time as the visitors collapsed in the final 30 minutes.

New Linnets signing David Kamara came off the bench to make his debut in the second half.

Striker Kamara arrived at Lynn on an initial one-month loan deal from Peterborough United on Friday.

The 19-year-old played for Welling United before being snapped up by Peterborough United’s youth academy and making a couple of professional appearances for the Posh.
