King's Lynn winger signs for Dover Athletic on loan

King’s Lynn Town have announced the departure of winger Michael Gyasi, who has joined Dover Athletic on loan.

The 21-year-old, who can play on either flank or down the middle, has been unable to hold down a regular starting place in the Linnets' line-up since arriving from St Ives more than a year ago.

Gyasi will stay with the Kent outfit – who have yet to win a game this season – for the remainder of the campaign.

The German-born Ghanaian attacker has made 34 National League appearances for the Linnets since joining them from the Saints in December 2020.

The Whites are rooted to the foot of the table, still nine points away from reaching positive points, having started the season on minus 12.

They provided Lynn with their first win in the National League this campaign with Joshua Barrett striking twice in a 2-1 victory at The Walks back in December.

Dover Athletic are in National League action this evening when they welcome Eastleigh to Crabble and Gyasi goes straight into their squad.

Gyasi's exit comes 24 hours after midfielder Ethan Coleman left Lynn to sign for League Two Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.
