King’s Lynn Town sign midfielder Josh McCammon from Peterborough Sports

Lynn have signed energetic midfielder Josh McCammon from National League North rivals Peterborough Sports.

McCammon, 24, has good experience at Step 2, featuring 45 times last season for Sports, scoring on six occasions. He was with Northampton as a youth player.

Linnets manager Adam Lakeland said: “I’m delighted that Josh has joined us. He’s generally always performed well whenever I’ve watched him or when he has played against one of my teams, being one of Peterborough Sports’ best and most consistent performers at this level for the past couple of seasons.

“Josh is at a good age yet possesses great experience and brings energy, a turn of pace both with and without the ball, quality and versatility as well as an ability to chip in with goals. It’s another addition that makes the group stronger and I look forward to working with him.”

McCammon added: “Being a part of this ambitious football club is a real honour. I’m prepared and ready to give my all for both the team and the fans. I’m really excited for the journey ahead and the great things we can achieve.”

Already signed for Lynn this season are goalkeeper Patrick Boyes, attacking midfielder Josh Hmami, left-back Freddie Sass, defenders Tom Wilson and Greg Taylor and winger Ross Crane.
