King's Lynn Town have completed the signing of Luis Fernandez on a season-long loan from League Two Stevenage.

Whilst still a second-year scholar, Fernandez, aged just 17 at the time, made his first-team debut in Stevenage's 2–1 home loss to Southend United in the EFL Cup in August, 2019.

The youngster made eight first-team appearances during the 2019–20 campaign before joining the Hoops of Oxford City on loan.

Fernandez said: "When I wasn't playing as much as I wanted at Stevenage, it was a no-brainer to go out and get some games under my belt with Oxford City.

"I learnt a lot and I think it has put me in good stead playing for King's Lynn this season. I believe I could get a club in the National League and I like the way the club wants to go.

"The manager has got an identity and he wants to play out from the back. I like the idea of having an open changing room too as it really benefits how you play.

"If everyone is connected then this club could really go places."
