King's Lynn see AFC Telford United home clash postponed due to frozen pitch

King's Lynn Town's home game against AFC Telford United in the National League North tomorrow has been postponed.

The top versus bottom fixture was subject of a 4pm pitch inspection, but with parts of the Walks playing surface still frozen there was little alternative other than to call the game off.

Temperatures are also expected to dip well below freezing again this evening.

It is the second game in the space of a few days that the Linnets have lost a fixture to the cold snap following Tuesday night's 11th hour postponement at Brackley Town.

Next up for Tommy Widdrington's side is – weather permitting – a home top-of-the-table clash against AFC Fylde on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

In-form AFC Fylde, who have won nine and drawn two of their last 13 games, will knock Lynn off top spot tomorrow should they pick up a point from their tricky trip to Scarborough Athletic.

The Coasters sit behind Lynn on goal difference after former Linnet Pierce netted the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory over Buxton in midweek.
