King's Lynn Town bring in former Cheltenham Town defender
King's Lynn Town have completed the signing of defender Dan Bowry from League Two outfit Cheltenham Town.
An Antigua and Barbuda international, Bowry, 23, spent a month on loan with Vanarama National League side Wealdstone last season, playing three times for the club.
Bowry signed his first professional contract with Charlton Athletic at the age of 16 and can also list Kingstonian; Hampton & Richmond Borough, Bath City among his former clubs.
The 23-year-old is the son of former Crystal Palace, Millwall, and Colchester United midfielder Bobby Bowry.
Director of football Rob Back told the club's website: “Dan comes with good experience at both league and non-league level.
"Once we talked to him it was clear he will help improve the squad and we looking forward to working with him."
On his move, Bowry addeed: “I see it as a great opportunity for myself joining the club. After meeting up with the manager and having a look around the ground I felt I wanted to sign there and then. I can only imagine the noise that will be in there when the ground is full.
"I’m a leader on the pitch and think of myself as a good one on one defender and that is something I’m looking to develop further to benefit the team."
The Linnets have also confirmed a friendly against Heacham as part of the new link-up between the two clubs on Tuesday, August 10 (6.45pm).
