King's Lynn complete signing of former Blyth Spartans defender
King’s Lynn Town have completed the signing of Oliver Scott on non-contract terms.
Scott, who lives in the North-East, has been training with the squad in the past week and has been paying his own expenses for the trial week.
The left-sided player has done enough to convince new manager Tommy Widdrington to bring him to the club.
Scott spent two seasons with Blyth Spartans in the National League North, making 40 appearances and scoring three goals.
He has also featured for Consett and was previously at the Sunderland and South Shields FC academies in the early stages of his career.
Widdrington hinted at yesterday's press conference that a new face was on his way to The Walks.
Speaking on his new addition, who is the son of former Sunderland and Bristol City left back Martin Scott, The Lynn boss said: “Oliver adds another left sided option to the squad. I have been really impressed with his commitment and desire over this weeks training and the way he has fitted in with the squad.”
Scott will be part of the squad for the Boxing day fixture against Notts County.
