King’s Lynn bring in striker who worked under ex-England and Manchester United legend at Derby County

King's Lynn Town have completed the signing of towering centre forward Bartosz Cybulski on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old striker, who stands at six foot six inches, was part of the AFC Fylde squad that won promotion from the National League North last season, making his debut against Lynn in their 1-0 win at The Walks back in March.

The Linnets hope the arrival of Polish player, who worked under former England and Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney at Pride Park, will help solve some of their recent issues in front of goal.

"I'm really happy to have signed for King's Lynn Town," said Cybulski, who trained with the rest of the Lynn squad for the first time today.

"It has been a rough couple of months for me personally but to finally have a team come in for me is a privilege.

"I'd love to help get the team out of this league and into the National League."

Cybulski, who has played at international level for Poland U19s, made his debut for Derby County as a substitute in a 2–0 FA Cup loss to Chorley back in January 2021.

He was one of 14 players from the Rams' academy to make their debut in the tie after the entirety of first-team squad and coaching team were forced to isolate due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

The youngster made his league debut as a substitute in a 1–0 win against Peterborough United more than a year later before being loaned out to Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock Town.

In December last year, he joined National League side Solihull Moors on a one-month loan and scored three times in 11 appearances prior to joining AFC Fylde for the remainder of the campaign.

At the end of the 2022–23 season, Cybulski's contract was not renewed by Derby County and he became a free agent.

Linnets boss Mark Hughes sees plenty of potential in the club's new arrival.

"Bart is a great signing for the team right now and for the club in the future.

"We've secured him for two years with an option of longer and at only 20 he certainly has lots of potential to be a top player."

Lynn will be hoping that Cybulski will be available to play in the National League North fixtures against Chorley (away) on Saturday and at home to Alfreton Town on Bank Holiday Monday, subject to the transfer receiving FA approval.
