King’s Lynn beat Bury Town in seven-goal friendly thriller
King's Lynn were forced to come from behind three times before finally securing a 4-3 victory over Bury Town in their latest pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.
The Linnets found themselves a goal down early on before Tommy Hughes equalised with a first-time effort that found the back of the net off the crossbar.
The hosts regained their advantage nine minutes before the interval and that's the way it stayed until half-time.
Manager Adam Lakeland made 10 changes at the break and Lynn were back on level terms within two minutes of the restart with a neat finish from Freddie Sass.
The Suffolk side took the lead for a third time before Jonny Margetts redressed the balance with 16 minutes left on the clock.
Lynn took the lead for the first time on the night less than a minute later when Gold Omotayo headed home his first goal since returning to the club.
The Linnets continue their friendlies with a trip to Stamford on Saturday.
