The no-nonsense fighter was ‘overjoyed’ to learn at the pre-show press conference that she will be boxing for a title belt sponsored by the European Boxing Union.

"There are lots of costs in boxing, such as medicals, fight gear, transport costs etc," she said.

"Even at championship level, the onus is still on me to sell tickets. I’m grateful to all my sponsors, many of them Norfolk-based, for making this boxing journey possible."

"Boxing’s given me stability and a sporting family of my own," she admitted.

"Although I lost my fight in Poland against Laura Grzyb in July it was on the opponent’s home turf and taken at short notice.

"I survived the ten rounds. learnt from it and I’ll be at my absolute best on fight night next Friday and am grateful to the hundred or so people who will be travelling from Norfolk to support me.

"It’s been difficult just seeing my nine-year-old son at weekends given the demands of the preparation camp, so hopefully we’ll be lifting the belt together."
