King's Lynn boxer extends her unbeaten record at Sheffield Arena
Lynn boxer Stevi Levy impressed in front of the cameras this evening as she extended her unbeaten professional record.
The 28-year-old outpointed Polina Golubeva over four rounds at the Sheffield Arena to extend her record in the paid ranks to five straight wins.
The bout represented a huge opportunity for Levy, appearing on the undercard of a big South Yorkshire show promoted by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom organisation.
But, after a frenetic opening session, which perhaps demonstrated the sense of occasion, Levy settled into her work, dictating terms against her Estonian opponent.
The former West Norfolk Sports Awards winner landed a number of strong right hands, particularly in the later stages as, despite height and reach disadvantages, she controlled the pace of the exchanges.
Referee Steve Gray scored all four rounds in Levy’s fighter to the audible delight of the fans who made the trip from West Norfolk.
The fight, which was broadcast live on the streaming service Dazn, featured on a card which will be headlined by the IBF world featherweight title showdown between Kid Galahad and Kiko Martinez.
