Lynn Golf Club hosts seniors open

Lynn Golf Club hosted their annual seniors' open on Monday in glorious weather.

It once again was a very popular event, with 100 players representing 36 different clubs taking part.

For 37 competitors it was their first time entering this competition.

The event was played off the white tees and the competitors found the course challenging with only two breaking par.

The overall winner was Tony Canning, from Costessey Golf Club, with a score of 38 points.

He beat David Tingey, from Bury St Edmunds Golf Club, who was the winner of Division B (14 to 24 handicap) with a score of 37 points.

The winner of Division A (0 to 13 handicap) was John Love, from Dunston Hall Golf Club, with a score of 36 points.

In his speech, overall winner Canning complimented the event, the catering and he thought the course was in excellent

condition.
