LEARN MORELadies from Lynn Golf Club played their first major competition of the season when they contested the popular Spring Cup.
Thirty-four ladies braved the very un-Spring like weather of very cold temperatures and heavy rain at the end of last week.
Many hardy stalwarts played all 18 holes whilst some succumbed to the weather and decided to call it a day after nine.
At the end of play the competitors enjoyed afternoon tea before the presentation of the cup and prizes.
Christopher Reeks, whose mother presented the cup in 1978, joined the ladies for tea and presented the prizes.
Ladies captain Anita Goddard thanked the Reeks family for their continued support of the event.
Diane Mann, who has not long returned to playing after a long lay-off due to injury, was the popular winner of the trophy, showing she is back on course in winning ways.
Result: 1 Diane Mann net 77, 2 Ann Ellis net 78 ocb, 3 Betty Engledow net 78.
