King’s Lynn players continue pursuit of ninth Premier League crown with big win over A47 rivals Peterborough

Rink hockey players from Lynn have all the traits to be a championship-winning outfit again as they continue their pursuit of a ninth Premier League crown.

The team ended 2024 with an emphatic 9-1 win against A47 rivals Peterborough.

Ably led by their talisman, Josh Taylor, they arrived at the Peterborough rink with one clear objective in mind.

Their body language and on-rink behaviour in the first few minutes set the tone for the rest of this match.

It was business as usual for Lynn, who dropped into their pass, move and screen pattern of play and that opened up many goalscoring opportunities for them.

Goals arrived at regular intervals for the visitors through: Josh Taylor (2), Owen Norris (2), Ryan Barnes (2), Jamie Griffin, Harvey Dugdale and Josh Horn.

Lynn were the first side in this Premier League season to hit more shots at goal than Peterborough have in all of their matches to date and a high percentage of those shots were on target.

Next up for the team is a double-header this coming weekend.

On Saturday, they travel to Soham before making the long trek up to Middlesbrough on Sunday,

Lynn squad: Josh Horn, Harvey Dugdale, Josh Taylor (captain), Jamie Griffin, Josh Roberts, Ryan Barnes, Owen Norris, Ian Oselton, Bethan McCarthy.
