King's Lynn club recruiting for the next generation of skating talent
King’s Lynn Rink Hockey Club are recruiting the next generation of skating talent to join their growing youth academy.
Lynn are the current and five-time national Premier League champions, and are now recruiting the next generation of superstars to continue the club’s success in the sport long into the future.
If you’re aged between six and 12-years-old, are learning to or can already skate, and are looking for a way to take your skills to the next level, then the club is inviting you to two free introductions to rink hockey.
These will take place at Alive Lynnsport, between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday, May 22, and Saturday, June 12.
A club spokesman said: “Rink hockey is like field hockey on roller skates, but, in our opinion, much better.
“If you’re excited by a new challenge, then learning to play rink hockey could be your perfect next step.
“The sessions will run by current King’s Lynn and England stars, and are the best way to discover if this could be your next calling.”
Current Lynn and England captain Josh Taylor will be leading the sessions, and will be assisted by teammates from Lynn’s Premier League- winning side, Jack Tucker, Owen Norris, and Will Martin who will be looking after budding goalkeepers.
Lynn youth coach, referee and parent, James Smith will also be involved in the sessions.
If this excites you, then get down to Lynnsport on either of the two dates to try your hand at Lynn’s best kept sporting secret.
If you’d like to learn more about the club and the sport, Lynn Rink Hockey Club are actively seeking schools who would like the club to present an assembly so if this might be you, please get in touch.
