King's Lynn Stars' boss on the mend from Covid-19
King's Lynn Stars speedway team boss Peter Schroeck confirmed he is continuing to recover from coronavirus.
As the Lynn News revealed recently, the Hertfordshire manager was struck down by the Covid virus and confined to bed.
However in good news for the club and fans, the Minors & Brady Stars 'Tweeted' via @KLSpeedway on January 23: "Sending boss Peter Schroeck strength for his battle against Covid-19."
The club quoted the former Rye House Rockets team boss as saying: “Today is my first day downstairs in eight days. I’ve still got a long way to go so I’ll take it one day at a time.”
Schroeck was sufficiently on the mend to take part in the Stars' live Twitter question and answer session with co-promoter Dale Allitt on Tuesday evening.
German-born Schroeck had earlier posted the following tongue-in-cheek question to Allitt in readiness for the 'Twitter Takeover' event: "What’s your favourite part working alongside Buster (Stars club owner Keith Chapman)?"
Allitt replied, as he did to all Adrian Flux Arena fans who had Tweeted a prior question, while playing an admirable 'straight bat': "It’s good working with a stable promotion and they’ve transformed King’s Lynn from what it used to be.
"It’s enjoyable 90 per centof the time. Apart from when Buster walks off the track red faced – it’s probably best to walk away at that point!"
