Three West Norfolk youngsters all represent same county side

Three bowlers from Lynnsport Indoor Bowls Club wrote their names into the history books at the weekend.

Sisters Taylor and Alexia Scott, 13 and 11 respectively, were joined by England under-18 player Nicole Moseley, 17, to represent Norfolk in the same team.

The female trio were all part of the Norfolk under-18 mixed team to take on Leicestershire at Peterborough Indoor Bowls Club on Sunday.

Norfolk won on three weeks and lost on another but lost overall.

Despite this, all three girls acquitted themselves extremely well during the defeat.

It is believed it is also the first time two sisters have represented the county in the same team.

Both Taylor and Alexia only started playing bowls at the Lynnsport junior section in October and have emerged from the successful Wednesday evening coaching programme currently in place at the club.

The pair have been coached by both Nicole and Mo Moseley, who continue to run the sessions every Wednesday, between 5pm and 7pm, for juniors and on a Thursday, between 2pm and 4.30pm, for adults.

The first six weeks are free. Anyone requiring further information should call Mo Moseley on 07873315993.

Meanwhile, Nicole Moseley is hoping to secure another England under-18 indoor trial in April.

The teenager is also through to the last eight of the Norfolk under-18 mixed event which is due to be played at Wymondham Dell next month.

This comes on the back of a slender defeat in the area semi-finals of the national mixed competition where she was partnered by Stephen Winter.
