Both were evenly matched for the swim and bike, with Doig completing them in 29min and 2hrs14 respectively, but Hailey had a great run and completed the nine-mile route over England’s third highest peak in 2hrs08, seeing him home in a total time of 5hrs04, four minutes ahead of Doig.
