Hunstanton Golf Club ladies section held their annual Spring Meeting on Thursday last week, and 42 entrants braved an 18-hole medal for the Vere Thompson Trophy in the morning during very testing weather conditions.
Some 20 ladies completed a further 15 holes foursomes in the afternoon despite the wind, rain and hail.
One of the birthday girls – Angie Allsopp (pictured) – won the Vere Thompson Trophy in the morning and, together with her partner, Julie Smith, also won the foursomes competition in the afternoon.
Ladies’ captain, Angie Coker, remarked: “It was wonderful to see so many ladies enjoying themselves on the course and in the clubhouse. Also, 2016 is a very special year for us as we celebrate our 125th anniversary.”
