Following the massive success of the Unlimited Banger Icebreaker at Lynn’s Norfolk Arena a fortnight ago it is the turn of the 1500cc Bangers to contest their version of the competition this Sunday (noon).

Years ago the 1500cc version was introduced as a back up to the Unlimited Bangers when it appeared that Unlimited numbers were decreasing but following a big increase in competitors for the last six years both competitions have been stand alone events – and with over 100 unlimited bangers in action at the Norfolk Arena a fortnight ago together with over 170 1500cc Bangers being booked in for action this coming weekend it is easy to see why the competitions are regarded amongst the biggest banger competitions in the sport.

A large number of local drivers will be in action. Bad Intentions are fielding three teams with several top Lynn names amongst the line up including Ashley Watkinson, Jack Goodey, James Smith and Ashley Bell.

Their big local rivals on track The Goblins have the same amount of firepower with three teams entered with Lynn drivers in action for this outfit including Chris Loveridge, Simon Eglen, Jason Farthing, Paul Jackson and Jake Burgess.

Other teams with local representation include long standing outfit the Smurfs captained by the evergreen Rodney Thurgil (Walsingham) and also including Steven Pope, Ashlun Woods and Alex Smith (all Fakenham).

Team Jackpot includes National Points Champion Terry Garrod together with brother Ashley (both Swaffham) and Wes Freestone (Lynn).
