A 95 from James Harper dominated Denver’s nine-wicket win at Heacham, who were bowled out for 133 (Matthew Blake 38; Anthony Walbridge 6-27), writes Kevin Fisher.
Harper struck 15 fours and a six in a century opening stand with Alan Thulbourne (not out 28) as Denver got home with 16 overs to spare, and they took an early lead at the top of Division One.
The Denver CGM MoM award was shared between Harper and Walbridge.
Paul Hudson (51) top-scored for Castle Rising in their 214-7 in 45 overs.
Joel Gilmour scored 43 for hosts Hockwold then an unbroken third wicket stand of 123 between Tom (Titch) Harris (55 not out) and Roy Bland (83 not out) meant Hockwold won by eight wickets on their debut at this level.
A low-scoring game at Northwold saw the visitors Hillington set 110-8, David English starring with figures of 10-5-11-5.
Northwold had a top order collapse and an unbeaten 54 by Ade Seymour saw them prevail by three wickets in the 42nd over.
Kieran Herbert (3-10) took a hat-trick for Snettisham at Sandringham, who posted 119 all out in the penultimate over.
It took an unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 46 between Matthew Herbert 49* and Tony Park 18* to deny Sandringham with four balls remaining after C. Smith’s 3-33 looked set to give them victory.
Fakenham 3rd conceded their Division Two match at Downham 3rd.
Fred Bowlby smashed an unbeaten 106 in Castle Acre’s 182-9 at Holt who were dismissed for 117. Sam Molyneux was the top bowler with 3-18 to see Acre top the division.
Peter Green hit 47 and Danny Yeates Cornwall not out 73 in hosts Narborough’s 200-8 but Stuart Merritt’s 42 and Glenn Fossey’s not out 62 saw Gooderstone home by four wickets with three balls to spare.
Home team Sandringham skittled Hospital for 73 as Adrian Nicol took 6-20.
AMBiT Projects MoM for Hospital Hamza Khan (4-16) and company made Sandringham work hard for victory with 74-7 in 28.2 overs.
In Division Three, Bircham 2nd opener Craig Hughes hit 94 in a competitive total of 260-9 and T King took 3-7 as hosts Castle Rising 2nds.
It was too many for Rising who struggled to 70 all out and saw Bircham go top.
Gooderstone 2nd conceded their game at Denver 2nd.
After Swaffham 2nd opening pair James Dorling 51 and Kieran Kingston-Miles 22 prospered, no-one else got past single figures as Dersingham 2nds restricted them to 124 all out, Olly Southgate bagging 3-13.
Stalwart Dickie Sayers not out 40 and Michael Hazel not out 37 gave the home team little alarms to win by 8 wickets in the 29th over.
Gayton beat Snettisham 2nd in an eight-run thriller.
Gayton just missed out on an extra batting point with their innings closing on 199 for 7. Mark Tilbrook top scored with 79. Snettisham were dismissed for 191 in 39.4 overs, Michael Herbert 61 and J Chilvers 4-40.
