Lynn Motor Club’s annual charity stages rally was dominated by the Terrington St Clement crew of Ray Brammer and Mark Loomes (pictured).

They led from start to finish and at the end of the eight-stage event the WRC Subaru Impreza crew were clear winners by four minutes.

Steve Tilburn and his son Jack in the immaculate Hylton Gott sponsored Escort RS 2500 were snapping at their heels at times but a fuel problem lost them the best part of two minutes and they settled for second place.

Steve admitted afterwards that even without the fuel glitch they would still have ended up around two minutes adrift.

Third place went to Justin Oliver and Claire Abrey, also in a Subaru Impreza.

The club had set up eight timed stages at RAF Sculthorpe and Brammer/Loomes were fastest on all but one.

The event was sponsored by Hylton Gott and Greg Bates.
