We are into the final month of this current coarse fishing season at Nar Valley Fisheries and catches are improving on most of the lakes, writes Chris Newell.
Carp in Lake Geneva are now showing regularly and the lake has produced fish from 10lb to 28lb. The larger fish will soon be active.
Fenn Lake has been this winter’s consistent venue with carp the main attraction; most anglers have added to their season’s tally and this month’s best fish so far is a 31lb 8oz mirror.

Hobbs Lake trout fishery is going well with the fish rising regularly along the shoreline to small dark buzzers.
The best catch of the week is a bag of six Rainbows all around the 2lb 8oz bracket.
