Carl Breeze will be looking for a repeat of last year’s performance at Knockhill this weekend as he bids to assume control in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup.
Breeze travels to the Scottish circuit where he won two of the three races back in 2014.
With the Lynn race ace slipping down to third in the standings after Snetterton, a good weekend is a must with 25 points splitting the top-three in the overall standings.
Breeze said: “Knockhill was my best score in the championship last season and I only dropped a few points over the whole weekend.
“If I could do something similar this weekend I would be delighted.”
After his troublesome weekend at Snetterton last time out, the HHC Motorsport ace said: “It’s now two consecutive races where I have had mechanical failure this season so I can’t afford any more problems.
“If I had made my own mistakes I could have lived with that and in both races I was holding a podium position so it has cost me a lot of points.
“Hopefully through the course of the season things will even themselves out and both my championship rivals will endure problems.”
Dropping his worst two scores, Breeze currently lies second in the Championship – just three points behind Century Motorsport driver and current leader Tom Oliphant.
“Since Croft, Tom has had a real upturn in fortunes and his team have got his car running a lot faster,” added Breeze.
Breeze will have two 45-minute testing sessions today before qualifying and negotiating one round of action tomorrow.
His final two races will take place on Sunday and you can follow his progress and watch him in action on ITV 4.
Breeze thanks Bluechip, HHC Motorsport, Holbon Photography, Mr Snippers, Forma Exercise and Fitness, Graham and Leigh and @GPlummerMedia for their continued support.
