Have your say

King’s Lynn Roller Hockey player Matthew Baker has spent the summer on an intense preparation plan from national coach Carlos Amaral ahead of the u17 European Championships, training mainly in Europe.

The Springwood High School student will captain his side in the Championships held in Luso, Portugal, with eight matches in a round robin tournament over seven days including last year’s winners Italy.

The opening game will be against France. Baker has always enjoyed all sports but his passion is roller hockey playing eight years with KLRHC, achieving a place in the Premier team. He would like to thank his coach Chris Kay for his support and Samueljacks T-Shirt Shop, Gaywood for their sponsorship.

On Friday, September 18, 5pm-6pm at Alive Lynnsport and every Friday thereafter, Matthew will be the Level 2 coach helping with a new venture supported by King’s Lynn Community Football “Family Skating” for only £1 per person. No need to book, just turn up with a pair of skates.
