Stock Car and Banger Racing fans have lots to look forward to over the Easter weekend, with two fantastic meetings taking place at Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena.
First, tomorrow (6pm), the crowd-pleasing Unlimited Bangers are in action alongside the incredibly spectacular Two-Litre Saloon Stock Cars and 1300cc Stock Cars.
Then on Easter Monday (1pm), there will be a fun-filled afternoon at the Wacky Races. Two-Litre Bangers, featuring a caravan race, will be joined by 4x4 SUV Bangers and Reliant Robins, as well as a chance for the youngsters to compete in Junior Bangers.
Defending National Points champion in Bangers, Swaffham’s Terry Garrod, is set for a busy weekend. He will be competing in the Unlimited Bangers on Saturday night, before tracking both a two-litre car and an SUV on Monday afternoon.
Top Lynn racers Darren Fendley, Andy Frost, Ashley Watkinson and Ross Cooper are also among the Bangers entry list. Frost and Watkinson are both set to feature in the caravan race which should provide a hilarious spectacle.
The Two-Litre Saloon Stock Car entry features the cream of the country’s young talent, as the 25-and-under Championship of Great Britain is on the line.
Marham racer Jake Banwell and Rougham’s Jamie Sampson will have their eyes on the silverware.
A big entry of over-25s is also expected, including Heacham driver Willie Skoyles Jr and Sampson’s elder brother Lee.
Heading the 1300cc Stock Car entry is Lynn’s Wes Freestone, fresh from claiming the World of Shale Championship at Sheffield on Sunday. He will be joined by brother Austen plus fellow hometown drivers Stephen Walden and Chris Brown.
Last weekend’s action saw Stockport’s Dylan Williams-Maynard and Peterborough racer Andrew Palmer claim the feature races for BriSCA Formula One and Formula Two stock cars on a night of action-packed racing.
