Under 20 athlete Elliot Holland from Lynn broke a 26-year-old Norfolk record as well as winning a gold medal at the English Schools at Gateshead.
The College of West Anglia student (17) firstly broke the Norfolk Schools senior boys best time in the 400m on Friday.
He ran 48.96 seconds but in a highly competitive field he just missed the final by 0.09 of a second.
Holland then struck gold on Saturday in the 4x100 relay where he ran the second leg. The total time was a rapid 41.72 secs and the team broke the Norfolk U20 record.
His coach for four years, Paul Merrell, who specialises in speed, strength and conditioning, said: “He is a real talent. It was a remarkable performance.
“Elliot still has three years at this level.”
Former KLFM Young Sportsperson Of The Year Holland numbers four Scottish titles amongst his haul of medals and studies sports science at the College of West Anglia.
