Norfolk Sevens

After a great display last week at the Colchester festival and coming back with silverware, a great squad performance won West U15’s their first 7’s through great attacking play to score 138 points and fantastic defence to only concede four tries all day.

This was a brilliant way to sign off the season.

Wests 36 Diss 10

West forced their opponents into mistakes all over the pitch. Capitalising, George Lemon, Jack Trundley and Tom Hitchcock crossed the try line with one conversion. Half-time score: 17-0.

More of the same continued in the second half with further tries from Lemon and two from Trundley. Two scores were converted.

West 24

North Walsham 0

Dawson Hunter dominated in the loose giving a platform for the backs to play their passing game against the last two tournament winners North Walsham, running in three unanswered tries in the first half from Hitchcock and two from Lemon.

Trundley converted two.

Second half try: Trundley.

West 38 Norwich 7

With great handling from the team, tries came through Lemon, Trundley and two from Hitchcock (three conversions).

Hard running from James Dobler, Ralph Alvarez, Kamen Baxter and great defence from Alex Warrington in the second half, and two further tries from Tom Collie with one conversion.


West 40 Holt 5

West came out the blocks quickly and forced mistakes from Holt.

Great work from Olly Spurrier around the loose set off Trundley for a score.

Further scores from Lemon and Trundley (two conversions), and after half time Lemon, Hitchcock and Connor Warrington. All conversions in the second half were completed.
