Lynn triathletes celebrated success this weekend with one member qualifying for the European Championships next year and another enjoying a first place finish.
Sue George was in action at Southport sprint tri – her last chance to qualify for the European age group championships next May in Lisbon, Portugal.
In sea-front winds so strong they were blowing bikes off their racks and sand-blasting athletes, George raced to a great result of 1hr35 for the 750m swim, 20k bike and 5k seafront run.
This performance secured her fourth place in her age category and a place in the Euro Championships.
