This weekend saw two members of King’s Lynn Triathlon Club competing in Olympic and Middle Distance races.
Tamlin Hegarty completed the Olympic distance race in Stewartby in Bedfordshire at the London Brik Triathlon. This is a 1500m Open Water Swim, 40km cycle, followed by 10km run.
Hegarty smashed her old PB to finish with times of 31:33 swim, 1:18:35 bike and 48:07 run, for a total time of 2hr 41:33, placing her sixth in age group.
Adrian Ebbs travelled to Castle Howard to compete in the Gauntlet Middle Distance Triathlon. This comprises a 1.9km lake swim, 90km cycle and 21km off-road run.
He completed the race in 6hr 26:58; split times were swim 45:36, cycle 3:29:10 and run 2:06:38. Ebbs placed 14th in his age group.
