Brothers For Life Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been going from strength to strength.

The long established club based at Southgate Street, Lynn (formerly King’s Lynn BJJ), has recently been fortunate enough to host the Bellator mixed martial artist (MMA) light-heavyweight champion Liam McGeary.

Lynn-born McGeary, who trains professionally out of New York, taught a fantastic seminar at the club, demonstrating some of his latest techniques and sharing some of his experience. The club has recently undergone a couple of changes, primarily coming under the tuition of BJJ black belt Manasses Filho.

Filho, who grew up in Brazil, has 20 years of experience in the martial art and is now the in house head coach.

The club stated: “With Brazilian Jiu Jitsu being infamous for the amount of work and dedication it takes to receive a black belt, to have one teaching full-time in Lynn is an ideal opportunity to learn.

“As a club, we pride ourselves on having a friendly atmosphere, regularly organising team events outside of training and competing together across the UK.

“By being part of such a great friendly team – and with Manasses taking us to the next level – there is no better time to take up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.”
