The first Norfolk Snooker Ranking event of the season will take place on Sunday, August 14, 10am start at The Maltings Q Club, Lynn.

Entry is open to all Norfolk residents and those players affiliated to the ‘Norfolk Billiards and Snooker Association’ at £10, entry for non-affiliated players is £15.

The main event will be contested over the best of five frames, and the Plate event, for first match losers will be over the best of three.

The dress code for the event is coloured shirts (polo shirts fine).



Norfolk A finished as runners-up in Division One.

Phill Welham (West Acre) had some consolation for his side’s failure to lift the Division One title by beating World number three and five-times English champion Rob Hall (Lincolnshire).

In Division Two Norfolk B were promoted as runners-up to Division One. Lynn’s John Heyhoe was part of this successful team.

In Division Three Norfolk C were crowned champions. This side included Tilney All Saints player Steve Kirk, who recorded a perfect 100 per cent match record during the competition, and Tittleshall’s Rochy Woods who recorded a 75% match success record.

Billiards and Snooker


The annual Junior Championships will be held on Thursday, August 11, 10am at the Maltings Q Club, Lynn.

Entry is £12 and this includes lunch for all competitors.

Entry is open to all players under 19 years.

Both the Billiards and Snooker Championships will include a Plate competition (for all first match losers), thus ensuring every player will get a minimum of two games in each competition.
