North Runcton cricketer Coote makes full Norfolk debut

North Runcton CC first XI captain, Ben Coote, made his full Norfolk debut in the Unicorns Championship Eastern Division three-day game against Northumberland last Sunday to Tuesday.

Although Norfolk lost the game to league leaders Northumberland, Coote acquitted himself well with two wickets in the second innings, along with 15 not out and 6 not out with the bat.

On Saturday North Runcton lost at Old Buckenham in the Dipple & Conway Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division.

Batting first, Runcton only managed a total of 123 all out with significant contributions from Michael Crisp (30), Jack Major (29) and Ben Coote (22).

Coote made two early breakthroughs to leave Buckenham 7 for 2, but they recovered to win comfortably by six wickets.

On Sunday North Runcton will host a fun afternoon of cricket related activities from 2-4pm followed by a barbecue and refreshments.

This event will be free to all with a small charge for refreshments. This event is suited to those wishing to get into cricket or back into cricket.
