Norwich 19 West 38

West on Sunday began their Norfolk Cup campaign in style and will now go to the semi-final.

In the first half Norwich cleared the ball down the field with Jack Eales recovering it back. With Mark Taylor offloading the ball, Jake Lamas stormed down the wing landing the first try for West. A first conversion from Angus Williams secured the lead.

Norwich came back fighting, however Lewis Rudd ripped the ball back for West with strong tackling from Tane Dunn. At the scrum Williams loosened the ball which allowed him to score.

During the second half West remained focused with Dunn soon scoring. A loose ball was picked up by Eales opening the opportunity for West to land another try with another conversion from Williams.

Norwich came back to score a try and conversion.

However with support from Taylor and Rudd, Eales was able to run clear to score again. Alfie Crown and Connor Dumpleton provided support to stop Norwich moving up the pitch with West turning around the ball. Norwich had the opportunity to score and crossed the line to be knocked clear by Dunn. This gave West the opportunity to move up with Lamas taking the final try of the match.
