Predator anglers reaping rewards on King’s Lynn banks

The last seven days have been dominant for the predator anglers, as 99 per cent of those on the banks have been the specimen hunters.

Double figure pike and zander have been recorded.

Relief Channel: Plenty of jacks showing on small lures, even pike to 12lb have been showing on bigger lures and spinners. Zander to 13lb and pike to 17lb have been showing on dead baits during the last week.

Cut Off Channel: Pike to 19lb 4oz and zander to 7lb 9oz have been reported between the bridges, dead baits again being very rewarding. Plenty of jacks to 6lb are also being reported.

Springside: Matt Hurst (pictured) had an enjoyable session during a recent visit when landing this 13lb 12oz common caught whilst using bread paste.

Carp to 10lb have also been showing when tempting them into feeding by offering luncheon meat on the hook when using the method feeder.

Roach and rudd are also showing on the waggler when presenting maggot as a hook bait.

Shepherd’s Port, Bear Lake: Carp to 5lb have been showing during the last seven days on the tip and pole, despite a lot fewer anglers on the bank.

Shepherd’s Lake: Bream to 5lb have been showing well on the tip when presenting maggot as a hook bait.
